Smooth Operator

I tried to catch up with you the other day. The pace was too much for me. It felt like a marathon. My legs are so much shorter. Just when I thought I had caught up with your stride, my body hit pay dirt. You left me hanging off the rail wishing I had a bottle of Primestine Mist. One thing about it, you were dressed to impress. The navy blue suit you wore was raising hell and the lavender tie set it off. The look on your face was serious. Your arms swung out evenly from side to side. It didn’t matter how many emergencies the city had, you looked as though you were ready to put them all out. Are you wearing your Gasoline Drawers?

Every person you encountered on the streets was given a strong handshake. Your smile came bursting through. Words of hope were given to all the people who felt beaten down by the economy. Then all of a sudden you sat down on the curb in your nice suit. Do you think Eric Cantor or Paul Ryan would have given an uplifting curb service speech to the people in their high dollar cha-ching suit? Don’t answer!

Wherever you were headed it didn’t seem important anymore. You were answering questions about concerns of jobs, infrastructure, voters suppression, and the Big 3(Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid). An old lady appeared from out of nowhere. Silence came over the crowd. You looked directly into her eyes and you reached out and held her hand. Then you said, “How can I help you?” She responded, “You have helped me.” You are learning to ask the questions. Inclusions make you a part of us.

Sitting here among the people you have included yourself. The Republicans tried to divide you from WE THE PEOPLE and OUR NATION. You have not let Pride override the welfare of the People. The Republicans tried to make the American people feel in taking out the dictators, it was only your victory. WE THE PEOPLE and OUR NATION understood it was a victory for all. You are starting to learn from your MISTAKES. Achievement comes with ACKNOWLEDGING your MISTAKES and taking RESPONSIBILITY for your MISTAKES. You have shown the American People deference.Through all the criticism you did not let your head drop below the water. The eternal flame burns deep inside of you. The Human Factor works in your favor. You have remained HUMANE.

The Presidents before you made mistakes. The PRETENDERS/CONTENDERS have taken it to a new level of mistakes. Herman Cain is the cousin of the other mother, Oscar OCD, who is always entertaining the NO NO THOUGHTS. Go back and refresh your memory. Oscar OCD was in EASTER UNDER THE UMBRELLA_FOR NLD. Oscar OCD always referred to his little cousin Herman, as Captain Nasty McNuts. Tyrone Tourettes, the cousin of Bobby Tourettes, thought it meant Herman liked McNuggets. AH NO! I don’t think so.

Strange that HERMAN grew up in the Restaurant Business. Since he made his POKEMAN SPEECH he probably needs to call PICACHO to the RESCUE. The next cartoon character he might want to be is a TRANSFORMER. Yes, Herman Cain is more than meets the eye. He is the original DECEPTICON along with the other PRETENDERS/CONTENDERS. Starscream, Herman Cain, cannot be trusted. He is always trying to find a way to overthrow Megatron, Rick Perry. Sounds like this is playing in the media right about now.

Megatron, Rick Perry, is at Lowes picking up paint for his METEORITES which is all wrong. Sentinel Prime, Mitt Romney, has switched sides and his numbers still didn’t move in the polls. This is the perfect world for Mitt Romney.

He has so many characters to TRANSFORM into. If I was Herman Cain I would stay with the TRANSFORMERS. He’s going to need a hideout within himself and a new theme song. No one will ever notice the White 1999 MONTE CARLO is Herman Cain in the junkyard. The sign will read We BUY, SELL, and OWN previous DECEPTICONS by the Koch Brothers. In Training Day, Denzel Washington drove the Black MONTE CARLO. Herman Cain is NO Denzel.

Now it is TIME to develop a trusted loyal Crew so you won’t look distant or be isolated from your base. Steve Israel, Head of the Democratic Congressional Committee can whip the Democrats into shape. Lean to the side of the strong Democrats who use the media. In Smokelbg Tweets she gives her thumbs up to Bernie Sanders, Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

We can’t leave out Barney Franks and Chuck Schumer, the Progressive/Liberal Democrats. You got the Ohio Players, not the singing group, the Democrats in Ohio. Sherrod Brown and Marcy Kaptur would be excellent team players.

The DEMOCRATS need to speak out and be compassionate about their leader. You have come a very long way. We can see your growth. Your message has gotten stronger. Son, I ain’t stopped BELIEVING in you. So you better not stop BELIEVING. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. BELIEVE IN YOUR PURPOSE. BELIEVE IN YOUR VISION. BELIEVE you are a SMOOTH OPERATOR.

Another voice shouts out from the crowd. SMOOTH OPERATOR, the REPUBLICANS are totally thrown off course. Their hatred is letting people around our nation and other nations know they have RESPECT only for the BENJAMIN’S BABY. All this business about your job ratings in the polls is at 40% is a bunch of sardines. Just think if we had Muammar Gaddafi for 42 years. Instead, we have Charles and David Koch causing havoc. We need to occupy their headquarters.

Who cares about those numbers? What polls are they reporting from? It sounds like Fox News statistics. Their math is way off the charts. They never do their research. We all know Bill O’Reilly is never WRONG. I do like Greta Van Susteren, Sheppard Smith, Geraldo Rivera, and Chris Wallace. Geraldo Rivera barbecues BILL O’Reilly’s butt. Geraldo is the chef of Burnt Ends. Watch out, Bobby Flay!

Chris Wallace broke down and told John Stewart that Fox News is Conservative. John Stewart of the DAILY SHOW keeps his Gasoline Drawers on and uses his flamethrower to set Fox News on fire. Fox News thinks this is the story of ROOTS 999. They made a lot of people have a “What The Hah Hell” moment. I guess Herman Cain is their Black. “What the Hah Hell” do they mean by your black/my black. Let’s send a friendly reminder to FOX NEWS letting them know that Slave Days Are Over.

Do they really have a Candidate? A young lady’s voice in the crowd rang out. With everything the Republicans have done to you, I would have blown a gasket. SMOOTH OPERATOR smiles and replies, “I need YOUR support.” War within Wars is no good. I am here for the People. The losses have made me gain great knowledge and great strength. I have Learned and Transformed. The past is just that, the past. The Moment is Now. We will continue to Press On. I will not be discouraged by Congress, the Republicans, and the TEA PARTY. The REPUBLICANS reading this will say I did not answer the question. We have to stop BLAMING. We need to Start MAINTAINING our government.

There are TIMES when we take Action, the Words are fulfilled. There are TIMES when we take Words and we may Fail to carry out the Action. Remember the word has been “NO.” Remember the Action was not carried out. Remember to do the Math. Remember that only 4 Democrats voted against the AMERICAN JOB ACT. The young lady asked, Who were the 4 Democrats? An elder man steps up and starts calling out names. It was them old tired Conservative Blue Dog Democrats. Roll Call Sister!

It was Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, Senator John Tester of Montana, and Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas. I tell you what Sister, I can Remember 4 names. Baby Girl, all 49 REPUBLICANS voted against the bill. Now it is gonna be hard Remembering all 49 Knucklehead REPUBLICANS. Just Remember the Herman Cain Theory, 4+5=9 and you take out the (+5=) and you got 49. Maybe he will get 49 years for the 4 women he sexually harassed.

Why did it take 4 women and not just 1 of these charges to be acknowledged and taken seriously? Is it possible that a SUPREME COURT JUSTICE may have slipped through the cracks? Is it okay to label the poor and middle-class behavior? Why are we not acknowledging the behaviors of the rich and high-profile government officials? A young boy around the age of 6 breaks through the crowd. His presence breaks the tension. “Are you who I think you are?” Somebody said you are the President of the United States. I told them No Way! You are the man with the plan. The man who understands. The man with the whole world in the palm of his hands. You are a SMOOTH OPERATOR. He jumps into PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA’s lap and gives him a big hug. He lifts the young boy into the air. “I will keep my Promise.”

ADVISORY ALERT: It is hard for people diagnosed with NLD Syndrome and other exceptionalities to come off as SMOOTH OPERATORS. Some may lack the social communication skills, inability to read social cues, and interpreting body language. Others may have trouble with personal hygiene, and cocktail party speech. They have difficulty interpreting facial expression. It is hard for them to initiate a conversation or end a conversation. Their social judgment is poor. NLDers are not sure where his or her space is and cannot judge the distance(space invaders). This is due to visual-spatial organization. They are labeled by others as annoying, ill-mannered, rude, discourteous, and smart “aleck.”

People diagnosed with NLD Syndrome cannot detect hidden meanings of language and social interactions aren’t detected There will be many outbursts, social blunders, misinterpretations, and misjudgments. NLDers end up being the victims and are victimized because they are naively trusting. They DO NOT understand a person that is deceitful, cunning, or who manipulates others. They have faulty spatial perception only getting half of the picture.

Their behaviors are misinterpreted by our society as being INTENTIONAL. Their neurological and neuro-behavior right hemisphere disorder is UNINTENTIONAL. Sexual Harassment is a term that is very vaguely defined. It happens a lot in the workplace. It entails social situations, the making of unwanted sexual advances, and obscene remarks. How would it be possible to charge a person with NLD SYNDROME with sexual harassment if they have these characteristics and traits? People with NLD SYNDROME will not have a clue to what sexual harassment or any other type of harassment is due to the nature of their neurological disorder and their UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS.

My advice to all parents is finding a neuro-psychologist or psychiatrist that has had years of knowledge, training, and experience in the field of Nonverbal Learning Disability. It is very essential that you have your child tested early. This diagnosis has been overlooked for 41 years and has not been placed on the DSM4. This is a great disservice to millions of people who are looking for answers for their children/adults. When AUTISM, ASPERGER, ADD, ADHD, PDD-NOS, OCD, TOURETTES SYNDROME, ANXIETY DISORDER, TIC DISORDER, just doesn’t add up, PLEASE turn YOUR ATTENTION to NLD SYNDROME

How many TIMES have people with NLD SYNDROME diagnosed/undiagnosed been falsely accused, misjudged, socially isolated, and punished repeatedly because society has failed to be educated about this neurological disorder?
How many people are locked away in institutions, given a counterproductive treatment plan, or heavily medicated because they have gone undiagnosed, the diagnosis is ignored/is hidden or the diagnoses were not understood?

How many people with this diagnosis have been falsely accused of a crime they didn’t commit or understand it was a crime due to the nature of their disability and their UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS? How many people with this diagnosis have been incarcerated? How many lives have been lost and our society will continue to lose due to the secondary diagnosis of anxiety, stress, depression, and panic attack? Think about it. I hope this will help millions of people.

How can our society continue to violate the HUMAN and CIVIL RIGHTS of people with this diagnosis? This is in the DEFENSE for NLD SYNDROME. NLD Mom/cancer survivor

Refreshers Course In NLD

There are many viewers who are coming to this blog for the first TIME. Here we are 10 months later and unless you started from the January Archives you probably don’t have a clue about NLD Syndrome. I could tell you to go back and read the stories in the January Archives. It’s really Time for a refresher course on NLD. NLD (Nonverbal Learning Disability) is a developmental disability that affects the right-hemisphere of the brain. NLDers process information differently because they miss a lot of information. This contributes to misinterpretation of the world around them. Without the whole piece of the puzzle, it causes them to act out inappropriately or unexpectedly.

If you can’t understand the tone of a person’s voice, give eye contact, or read the person’s body language there are going to be several misunderstandings. This is a neuro-behavioral disorder and the person with NLD has UNINTENTIONAL behaviors. They are NOT EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED.

This neurological disorder goes UNRECOGNIZED and unattended by professionals, teachers, parents, and society. Individuals who are diagnosed with NLD Syndrome demonstrate a mature vocabulary/very language proficient, rote memory skills (mechanical, habitual, repetition), and an excellent reading ability. People with this disorder can have difficulty interacting with others, transitioning to new settings, adapting to changes, working with new people, and trouble with writing/fine motor coordination. Although reading skills are exemplary, abstract concepts need to be explained in detail. Individuals with NLD Syndrome have difficulty understanding metaphors (a figure of speech), emotional nuances (may not be able to understand the expression on a persons face, the sound of their voice, or body language), multiple levels of meanings, relationship issues. My advice to you if you are talking with a person with NLD Syndrome, give a simple description, explicit explanations, and be very patient.

The three areas that encompass or surround NLD Syndrome is Motoric, Visual-Spatial/visual perceptual, and Social. Let’s start with Motoric. This deals with dexterity: the task of manipulating small objects, writing, typing, buttoning buttons. Riding a bike is grueling. Tying shoes may take years. It is hard for them to catch their balance, secure their equilibrium or bounce back with their balance. NLDers really work hard to master athletic skills. Sitting and eating on the floor is preferable.

I hope you’ve got other silverware because NLDers may resist eating with a fork or spoon. They are not interrogating you. NLDers full-fledged learning mode is when they are asking questions. They have problems on the left side of their body. Psycho-motor skills involve the thinking through the process of physical movements such as coordination, speed, manipulation of the object, agility, dexterity, strength, and grace. Bottom line, if you are still holding the ball, you are thinking about it for an extended period of TIME, or trying to figure out “What The Hah Hell” to do with the ball, you have poor psychomotor coordination.

You are not going to be on DANCING WITH THE STARS. You are no MARIO ANDRETTI, and there will be NO KAREEM ABDUL JABAAR SKYHOOK. The key is it comes easy or more automatic and you have not spent so much time processing out every little detail. Are you still sitting in the parking lot? Are you trying to figure out why you keep getting so many driving violations? Driving is major coordination. NLDers can succeed in these tasks but it may take a very long TIME and please be PATIENT.

In the area of visual-perception/visual-spatial, people with NLD have difficulty understanding and reading maps, charts, graphs, left, right, drawing complex figures, and understanding higher math such as geometry. Thank God for GPS, color by number, etch of a   sketch, and all the wonderful apps that are put on the magnificent IPAD for learning. STEVE JOBS and his wonderful team revolutionized the world. NLDers talk their way through a situation. They are auditory-verbal learners and they need to hear what is being processed. A blue-tooth solves this problem of everyone staring when NLDers are processing out loud. From bumping into people, struggling with concept formation, and not getting the whole picture, they have the market cornered.

Social miscueing causes problems interpreting body language, and facial expression. People with NLD have problems in this area. Sometimes they stand too close (space invaders), or too far away when engaging in a conversation. It is hard for them to understand how to start a conversation or for them to end the conversation. If you can get them to deal with the situation in a practical, sensible, and realistic manner versus philosophical or theoretical manner you are batting a thousand (pragmatic skills). They have outbursts, are labeled annoying, or want to get all the attention. NLDers just won’t let go, they hold on, have many social blunders, are abrupt/have knife cutting responses, and they have difficulty thinking creatively or abstractly. They have problems with identifying faces or reading the person’s face, interpreting gestures/deciphering body posture, An NLDer doesn’t change their speech, have a monotone voice, and constantly misjudge or misinterpret what is being put before them or said to them.

NLDers have attentional deficits causing difficulty in coping with over-stimulating or distracting environments and requiring them to have limited distractions and assistance in focusing themselves. They have difficulty in performing multiple tasks simultaneously causing them to need to do one thing at a TIME and LIMIT the amount of information they can take in at the same TIME(They CANNOT follow multiple commands given at once). Organizational skills are a huge problem area with NLDers. They have a very hard TIME organizing material on their own. Assistance is needed in the area of writing outlines, sequencing/order, planning, prioritizing, transitioning from one idea or aspect of a project/problem to another. Does this remind you of anyone? DEDICATED: Everyone across America, take a closer look at this diagnosis. I wonder why the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION(APA), with 38,000 psychiatrists under their UMBRELLA failed to put NLD SYNDROME on the map after 41 years?

Why did the APA see fit to enlist diagnoses, such as sex addiction or internet addiction or other impertinent diagnoses that let people ESCAPE from being held ACCOUNTABLE for their INTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS?

Dr. PHIL, DR. DREW, DR. OZ, DEEPAK CHOPRA and many other specialists in the field of medicine and psychiatry would probably agree with me. Too many people are severely hurt and have died from not being properly diagnosed or overlooked altogether.

Should the APA be held accountable for leaving Nonverbal Learning Disability(NLD), a neurological disorder with UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS off of their diagnostic manual? They are well aware that people who are diagnosed with this disorder can suffer from severe depression. Why did the APA stop testing? Why has there not been more information distributed on NLD Syndrome? Has the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION been corrupted by money and politics to protect their funding?

Is the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION trying to close the GAP on INTENTIONAL versus UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS? Or would it be our GOVERNMENT? Our government has been very dysfunctional. Take a look at the contenders for PRESIDENCY. Look even closer at the GOP, REPUBLICANS, TEA PARTY, BLUE DOG DEMOCRATS and some members of the CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCAS. We can tell from watching the debates the front-runners have serious problems. The weakest links will once again be controlled by the 1%. Who’s brain will be used if one of the contenders is chosen for President? Our JUSTICE SYSTEM has been very UNJUST. Our Supreme Court System is totally out of BOUNDS and off the Court. Our Constitution needs to be revamped.

Think about it AMERICA! Something is seriously wrong. Who should be held ACCOUNTABLE? Who is covering up?

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep__An NLD Mother’s Prayer

It appears that certain government officials didn’t like the language of President Barack Obama’s Speech. I did not come here to defend the President because this is a man who can PRESS ON.

MAXINE WATERS, you may like your HIGH HEELS, you may not like wearing SLIPPERS. You say you work, you march, but you are sending a mixed message to the people. There are many ways which each individual can convey their message.

It appears you have a problem with understanding what others are trying to convey or even say. Are YOU listening? Do YOU have your own AGENDA?

Being candid can give people the impression in which your straightforwardness reflects no COMPASSION, EMPATHY, or SUPPORT. My son speaks candidly. He was diagnosed with NLD Syndrome at the age of 4 years 10 months. Now that he is older he has a very strong voice and tone. He is more like Chris Christie only a DEMOCRAT. Chris Christie has a very strong tone and so far there is no recanting of what he may say. I asked my son what is it about MAXINE WATERS that is disturbing about her political stance. He said, “If you go to the CREW you will find 15 MOST CORRUPT MEMBERS of CONGRESS on this LIST”. Yes, she is on the list and she has her own agenda. He also stated she was listed for the year 2006, 2007, and 2009. The future of government lies in the hands of our younger adults. How can we trust the platform of government officials if our elder’s behaviors are so poorly?

The behavior of Elected officials in government doesn’t match the words that come from their mouths. Maxine Waters has continued to insert her foot in her mouth and videotaped her A… Yet rudeness has been placed upon the backs of those with NLD Syndrome. People diagnosed with NLD Syndrome bear the scars and wear the banners of curtness, inappropriate/unexpected behavior, behavior problems, angry/explosive and implosive behavior. Our society accused those with NLD Syndrome with acting out intentionally. Yet this behavior has been relentlessly displayed by Maxine Waters and many other government officials. You are in for a rude awakening if you know someone diagnosed with NLD Syndrome.They will wax your A… and continue to buff.

Sugar coating will never happen. Loyalty is a strong trait that NLDers carry which political officials need to borrow. Maxine Waters’ sense of loyalty will reveal itself on the evening news by once again recanting her statements. Showing her loyalty lies with her own personal agenda of having a political position in the year 2012. We are tired of our Government officials throwing each other under the bus. The behavior of our government is deplorable.

My son’s political stance is not to go golfing with John Boehner and feel comfortable with Mitch McConnell. We all know where he stands. Eric Canter blocks all and keeps everything to himself. Jim Demint’s followers, the Tea Party, are out of control. The Republicans and the Tea Party recant their statements all the TIME. As a race of people, we need to support the INTELLIGENCE OF THE MIND and those decisions which will affect the lives of not just one RACE of people but for ALL the people.

Our young adults are taking a closer look at the political figures. Herman Caine announced he was a real black man. If you have to do a public service announcement on your manhood you fall short in a lot of areas. Herman Cain, Alan West, Jessie Lee Peterson, Lloyd Marcus, Star Parker and many others who are attached at the right hip of the Right Wing Extremists will get a friendly reminder from their GRAND MOO FA.

Rush Limbaugh, Grand MOO FA, his second in command Glenn Beck, and all of FOX NEWS will make a public service announcement to Herman Caine and his BLACK JACK GANG. It will be brief. The Grand Moo FA doesn’t think that African Americans are INTELLIGENT. Herman Caine shares those same beliefs and thinks we have been brainwashed into becoming DEMOCRATS. “You People” have confused the younger African Americans and we have accomplished our goal, stated the GRAND MOO FA. On the Tyra Banks show, we saw African Americans wanting to be white. Younger adults wanting to belong to the KKK. Hell, even in grade school, smaller children are beginning to think dark skin is ugly and natural hair is nappy.

When smaller children are asked to pick out who is the smarter child, they picked out the one who is white. You guys have been just great in screwing up your race. You have served your Purpose and your services are no longer needed. “Herman Caine while you were out trying to discover your identity and put your BLACKNESS under the Microscope, I Rush Limbaugh, the Grand Moo FA, discovered something better.” You are not FREE to go. We Own you. What a Sell-Out. Price of Success.

The Congressional BLACK CAUCUS and the BLUE DOG DEMOCRATS need to understand it is not just about the POLITICS of our government. This is about the lives of the PEOPLE and what is best for the PEOPLE.

Our children’s lives should pave the way for a brighter future. Our children’s lives are at great risk and they are no longer living out the full term of their life. A parent’s worst nightmare is to see their child in a coffin surrounded by other young adults. This is a permanent TIME OUT and Recess is over. Even if our children grow up it is hard to see them incarcerated, on death row, and murdered by a senseless death. Before my children were put to bed at night they would get on their knees and pray.

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord My soul shall keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord my soul shall take. This prayer has been modified for today’s children and young adults. Before I lay my head to rest. I pray to God I have done my best. When death comes to my soul, I pray to God my children grow old. AMEN! It is TIME TO PRESS ON. It is TIME for TIME_EXTENSION OF LIFE.

DEDICATED: To the future of our children. IN loving MEMORY of STEVE JOBS whose EXIT is NOW A PERMANENT ENTRANCE. You take a closer look at people and everything that surrounds your life. For the first TIME, the field of one’s life extends across the way. It is not dying from what you have but living with the TRUTH of what you have. The TRUTH of having your hands on DEATHS DOORWAY changes everything about you. Steve Jobs, myself, and many others who wear those shoes know what is TRULY IMPORTANT. The TRUTH is a powerful key and it will UNLOCK many doors. DISEASE AND DEATH is the LATCH that can be OPEN with the key of TRUTH. ACCEPTANCE of the TRUTH gives an extension to live. DENIAL of the TRUTH shortens the desire to fight the LATCH of DISEASE and DEATH when you finally come to grips with the TRUTH.

What The Hah Hell!

Yes, you are looking at it right. It is a moment in TIME when something is said or an action has been taken and it is so unbelievable. It makes you step back and take a deep breath and really look at the person, place or the situation.

The gears in the brain begin to rotate faster, the jaws will tighten, one’s heart rate speeds up, and your eyes begin to shift from side to side. You know at this very moment what happened just aroused your suspicion, caught you totally off guard. It has rampaged through every emotion in your body. Your skeleton system is now being played like a xylophone. What comes out of your mouth is, “What The Hah Hell!” The questions start pouring in. The river will begin to overflow.

This outrageous act will be put under a microscope and scrutinized until there is nothing left for scrutiny. In the back of your mind, you are thinking “I know they didn’t go there. Did they just say…? Oh, you have crossed the line now!”

So what are you telling me? You don’t believe that yourself. You have got to be kidding me. Do you expect me to believe that? Come on now! No, you didn’t! Think of the TIMES when you have had these moments and things got so critical you went there. What words did you use? Okay, I forgot you were critical and the words you may have used were a bit stronger. There are many words to fill in the blank. Who are the people and the incidents that make you have the “What The Hah Hell” moments?

“What The Hell Moments,” can be triggered by people who never get their facts right or never seem to do the research. They make horrible comparisons. Their ideas are so conservative. John Kasich of Ohio and Scott Walker of Wisconsin were stripping Union Rights and making unilateral decisions. Sit back and think of your “What The Hah Hell” moment. Scene: This conversation takes place at Steve Jobs’ underground compound in the middle of who in the hell knows where. We are talking about Steve Jobs, Okay. Smokelbg has decided to pay Steve a visit and have a heart to heart chat.

Smokelbg:

Hey, where you at? Steve, Steve is you here? Hey man, you better show up real fast. Some of your neighbors are looking at me really crazy. I can’t believe this. Steve wears this outfit all the time. I wonder why I’m having so much trouble wearing these blue jeans and black tee-shirt? I don’t have no ski mask on. What is this, the neighborhood watch? Okay, I see how this works. Don’t make me show your neighbors who’re the real Mac Genius. Why you laughing Steve?

Steve:

Smokelbg, you are hilarious. I’m so glad you could drop by. It’s good seeing you. It has been a long TIME.

Smokelbg:

More like Delirious and you don’t hear me singing Prince’s song. Come on now, I didn’t just drop by. I had to catch 2 planes, sail across the Mojave Desert, take a boat through Vienna, sing Oleta Adam’s Song-Get Here If You Can, and stung gun your neighbor’s dog. Where did Cujo come from? Was he trained to take a bite out of crime? Hey, Prince designed his butt-out pants. I did not need any help from Cujo. Okay!

What?! Is Fefe okay? He is harmless. He just wanted to play. I can’t believe you used a taser gun on Tim’s dog.

Did you say Tim’s dog? Please tell me I didn’t taser Timothy D. Cook’s dog. Damn it!

Fefe is the canine dog from hell. You should be asking is Smokelbg okay. Do I look like IAMS or Purina One Dog Chow to you? Where is this place anyway? Anytime Air Force One drops you off in the middle of the desert, you got to be hiding some secrets. I get along with dogs on a regular day but Fefe and I aren’t making any love connections. Can I use your bathroom? Ahhh! Steve, there is a robot up here in your bathroom trying to tell me how many square feet are in toilet paper. Steve get up here I push a button and I’m not sure if I Googled my butt across the nation. I just need some peroxide for my butt and I need to flush the toilet. Steveeee!

Steve:

Are you finding everything you need Smokelbg? There are some special treats behind the mirror glass shaped like an APPLE. This would make any woman’s head spin.

Smokelbg:

I don’t want my head to spin. I need some toilet tissue to keep me from having issues with Roberta the Robot who will not let me wipe my Ahh….! Steve get up here NOW!

Steve:

Oh, Dear, I meant to tell you if you put your hands in a certain position the robot will defend herself and put you in a headlock. Smokelbg, Tim designed the robot. It was a birthday gift for my daughter.

Smokelbg:

I should have known. Who is going to believe that my torn A… graduated with a whiplashed neck. Only at Steve’s Jobs compound. Do you have a pair of pants I can borrow and a soft pillow I can sit on?

Steve:

The pants may not fit. I mean they may be too long.

Smokelbg:

Just cut them in half… I need something to cover my butt.

Steve:

Hold tight, I got something that will make you feel really comfortable. There you go. I know how you like soft fabrics and this robe is just perfect. Smokelbg, I’m not cutting my pants.

Smokelbg:

Fair enough but I could have done without the APPLES on the robe. This robe feels like a giant cotton ball. Steve, it is TIME for us to take A BITE OF THE APPLE. Would you like to go first?

Steve:

Since you’ve come so far I want you to tell me what is on your mind.

Smokelbg:

I remember when I first told you about my son’s extraordinary mind, unique abilities, and multi-intelligence learning style. You looked directly in my face and said, Thank God he isn’t disabled. At least his head is still attached to his neck. I never liked labels that hinder people from achievement. At that point, I wanted to cry. You sat there and you listened to me go on and on about Nonverbal Learning Disability. You asked me to take a trip out to one of the APPLE STORES. I did and it was an amazing adventure. When I stepped out of the car and entered the store it begins to pull me and my son right into all the applications that could be purchased along with all the different products. My son and I were both dressed in our black tee shirts and blue jeans. We had struggled with the schools for years and it was TIME to move on and find the latest technology of teaching tools for home. Every person in the store regardless of race, age, and the geographical location was fascinated with the products. They were all interested in learning. We felt at home. Every school across the nation should feel this way for all children to hold their interest in learning. This store’s atmosphere was non-threatening, created a conducive environment and every customer in the store was paying attention. Steve, from the TIME I walked into the APPLE STORE there were people conversing, exchanging email addresses, and their cell phone numbers. My son began to really shine and start asking for numbers too. He didn’t get this opportunity at school. I thought he would become overwhelmed because the store was so crowded. He jumped right on it. He was so excited and he began to open up for the first time.

My son didn’t have to feel the hurt and pain of having manifestation hearings, getting suspended, or ever having to worry about another due process hearing. Most parents feel children who are labeled “disabled” will become budget cuts in the educational system. Why would you want to fix a child that was already broken? Why should a school system RECOGNIZE or make accommodations for a diagnosis that has not been validated by the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION? This store gave us a new way of looking at educating your child. It gave us hope outside of the educational system regardless what the educational system would or wouldn’t offer.

Why should a child go to school for twelve years of his life and find it hard to develop friends? It shouldn’t come down to TEST SCORES or the educational system FUNDING. Teachers shouldn’t be pressured to the point they LIE and CHEAT to bring children TEST SCORES up for ACCREDITATION. It should be about the child’s education because they are the ones who suffer the most. I kept trying to convince myself that I was in a store. This was more than just a store. Once again through your vision and innovation, something magical was going on inside the APPLE STORE that made people not want to leave and learn more. It felt safe, people’s’ questions were being answered, there was so much support, and the employees cared.

I was so glad when you met with PRESIDENT OBAMA, ERIC SMITH one of the founders of GOOGLE and MARK ZUCKERBERG, founder and CEO of FACEBOOK. All I could think of was, “If anyone could get the educational system on track it would be you guys.” Alternative methods of teaching children are on the rise. Steve, parents need to understand if they can’t find support in their own schools and districts then they need to find another way. APPLE STORE has created a learning environment. The educational system needed to take notes BIG TIME.

I found one of your sayings you had written on June 12, 2005, and it is your TIME to take a BITE OF THE APPLE. Do you remember Steve?

Steve:

I may not remember offhand but I can pull it up on my computer. Let me see. Hear it is.

Smokelbg:

Okay, you read it.

Steve:

You want me to read it.

Smokelbg:

Yes Steve, if you want to sing it you can. Just do it. This is your BITE OF THE APPLE.

Steve:

Here it goes. I look in the mirror and ask myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “NO” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Because of almost everything all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things fell away in the face of death leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

Smokelbg:

This is how I responded to your message on FaceBook. Hi, this Smokelbg. I have always been puzzled by those who are GONE but not FORGOTTEN. These are the ones that never die and live in our hearts forever. The impact they make in our lives leaves such a great impression. You see them so clearly. You remember the smell of their cologne, the sound of their laughter, and their wonderful words of wisdom. We walk around every day of our lives and we can’t remember the person’s name, what they wore that day, or where they work. Who is alive and who has passed on? There are many who are no longer with us. There are those who are expected to EXIT who will always have a PERMANENT ENTRANCE.

Steve, you have inspired me to be a follower of my heart. When Tim’s dog tore into my APPLE BOTTOM JEANS I looked back and saw that I too was butt-naked. It would be a shame if I survived cancer and not Tim’s dog. I just want the world to understand NLD Syndrome and hopefully, parents will understand there is another diagnosis out there they may need to check out. Everybody is not ASPERGER, AUTISM, or PDD-NOS. Good Grief! I want those parents out there asking questions, getting an early start on getting their child diagnosed, and not to be afraid. I don’t want to read any more ho-hum stories about NLD SYNDROME. I’m tired of the gloomy picture that is painted of people who have been diagnosed with NLD SYNDROME. These children/adults have to live with NLD SYNDROME and should not have to suffer the consequences of it. I want those doctors up, running, and developing strategies and coping skills and doing consistent testing for NLDERS. Sure DEATH is IMMINENT but to arrive at one’s destination at a much early TIME without any knowledge of knowing what you are up against is one hell of a trap.The KNOWLEDGE of KNOWING will help with INTERVENTIONS even if there is NO CURE it will give you HOPE.

Let Fathers Be Fathers

This experience is frightening for me. Our son has to go through a diagnostic evaluation to see if he has a learning disability. He was fine until he reached middle school then his grades begin to drop. The more things he had to do on his own he just didn’t seem to be able to get organized for his school work. I thought it was because his grandmother passed away. Quincy and his grandmother were so close. She practically raised him from a baby. His mother, Catherine, worked two jobs and her mother offered to help us out. JoAnn, Catherine’s mother, was a diabetic. I always felt my wife should quit one of her jobs so we could spend more time with Quincy. I didn’t mind making the sacrifice to work the extra hours. I wanted at least one parent to be with Quincy so he wouldn’t feel he was so alone. She was forced to quit one of the jobs after her mother died. I don’t know if she resented coming home.

I worked for the railroad. It was a fairly decent pay when I put in the extra long hours. Milton, a long time co-worker, and my best friend had a son diagnosed with autism. He shared many stories about his son. Milton’s stories frightened me because they always seemed to be so closely connected to my life. It appeared that Milton and his ex-wife had problems regarding their son being autistic. Later I learn Milton’s ex-wife had trouble with any women coming around her son or dating Milton.

Milton had gained full custody of his son. He was very proactive in his son’s life. Milton had started an autism support group. He had invited me several times. It always made me feel as if Milton was so many steps ahead of me. He continued to ask me to come and participate in the Autism group. Some parts of me wanted to attend but the other half of me was afraid. For some reason, I could see part of my life being like Milton. It felt like the movie Face Off.

Catherine and I had trouble in our marriage. She blamed herself for not being there when her mother passed away. We had problems before her mother ever came to stay. Her mother’s presence helped relieve a great amount of stress in our household.

JoAnn was so patient and kind with Quincy. She was Quincy’s rock. Catherine and I were so tired after working so many hours. It left us no room to deal with Quincy’s problems. It didn’t allow him the ability to process when he became angry and frustrated. JoAnn would always tell Catherine, Let Fathers be Fathers and Deal With It. Let the boy’s father deal with his behavior. Catherine was quick-tempered and lacked patience. It would make Quincy’s behavior become very explosive.

More and more Quincy’s behavior started changing and he begins to sleep a lot. I became greatly concerned because I thought Quincy was slipping into a state of depression. Catherine said Quincy just wanted attention and he was just lazy and she didn’t have the time to be bothered with his foolishness. Where did that response come from? When I ask her about her statement, she glared at me with her lip twisted and stormed out of the room. I guess that was my answer. We had begun to argue more frequently.

I was all for the evaluation but Catherine would get upset every time I would try to talk about it. We were getting closer to our evaluation date. Catherine had almost totally shut down. The moments of silence were killing me and I just couldn’t take it anymore. Every time I would try to discuss how we could help Quincy she would bring up her father and how he would deal with the situation. Catherine was very close to her father. At the age of 17, her father died on his way to work of a stroke. She always compared me to her dad. At first, I didn’t mind. I kind of thought it was an honor until I talked to JoAnn. Before Catherine’s mother died we had this conversation about JoAnn’s husband. He wasn’t the man my wife made him out to be.

In the heat of the moment, I tried to get Catherine to talk. When she mentioned her dad my head spun around like I was the star in the Exorcist. The next thing I knew I had revealed what Catherine’s mother had told me about her dad. At that moment I realized from the look on my wife’s face she never knew. My heart-felt as if it was going to come through my chest. I would never say or do anything to hurt Catherine. It was all over. Catherine ran into the bedroom and started grabbing her clothes out of the closet. I was trying to prevent her from leaving and I don’t remember what happened after that. I have tried to relive that moment in the bedroom a thousand times. The only thing I do remember is I was trying to guard my face. When I looked down, my shirt was bloody. From the mirror in the bedroom, I could see scratches all over my body. I called Milton to see if he could pick Quincy up from school. He never asked for an explanation.

Everything was going through my mind. Did she call the police? When were the police going to arrive? Whatever happened in that bedroom, Catherine never came back. The police never showed up. Who said that men don’t cry. I cried for days and days. I love my wife but we always seem to communicate with other people. That did not help our marriage at all. Months had passed and finally, I got a call from one of Catherine’s longtime friends from New York. Beverly told me Catherine was granting me full custody of Quincy. Before I could ask about Catherine, I was listening to the dial-tone. Just when I thought I had pulled myself together the crying came back. Here was my son asking all these questions and I had no answers. Quincy and I had to move on.

Quincy did get evaluated and he was diagnosed with NLD Syndrome. I have full custody of Quincy now. He often asks me if he was the cause of his mother leaving. He wonders will she ever come back. I wonder the same. Catherine and I never really communicated what was on our minds and in our hearts. We were both too young to have children. I am seeking professional help. There is so much I need to work through. I don’t want to be an angry parent. This isn’t just about my life. I need to be sure I don’t damage Quincy’s life. He has a lot to deal with. I will be right there for him. I have a lot to learn about NLD Syndrome. Milton is helping me to set up a support group and build a website. Yes, I am afraid that I will keep my promise to Quincy’s grandmother. Let Fathers be Fathers and continue to advocate for their children’s needs. Let Fathers be Fathers and understand the social and emotional part of their children’s life. Let Fathers Be Fathers and show the love, support, and embrace their child’s weakness just as they would rally around their strengths. JoAnn is probably looking down on me and Quincy today. As JoAnn would say, Let Fathers be Fathers and Deal With It.

Ok, Gang, we are not ordering Pizza and we are not watching any Movies. You saw what happened to the Republicans and the Tea Party. They just don’t get it. Pizza gives you Gas and you can Blow Yourself Out of The Box. The Deal John Boehner tried to put in place went down 59 to 41 in the Senate. If John Boehner had read any of SMOKELBG’S SUPERBOWL STORIES he would have learned Twisting people’s’ Arm and Cursing at his Gang Will Not Work. First of all, John Boehner didn’t know his people. He needed a manual on the Republican Tea Party. The people he did know he decided to punish them. The ones he Punished found out he Didn’t Know Anything. John Boehner’s Gang has received a TKO. Teddy Pendergrass was Not singing the song. John Boehner only made the Republican Tea Party anger escalate and their behaviors showed its A… The Boehner Gang is now watching STAR TREK II, WRATH OF KHAHN. The movie was spectacular. The Internal Squabble behind the scenes of the movie is the Republicans vs. Tea Party.

Gene Roddenberry got kicked to the curb for changing his mind too much and going over the limit of his budget. He was given one of those positions, Last House On The Left. This is the Out Of Sight, Out Of Your Mind Position given to those who have problems with Productivity. Directors and Producers were brought in to finish the job. Gene Roddenberry and many others now understand every Promotion Is Not A Promotion. The Movie Industry has problems with their Gangs. You can ask Steven Spielberg, John Singleton, Clint Eastwood, Tyler Perry, and Spike Lee. Now Spike, the order of your name being last has nothing to do with your phenomenal skills. It is just the way SMOKELBG wrote it. Nothing Personal. Will John Boehner get one of these Promotions? His Directions wasn’t clear nor good. John Boehner produced very little in his Two Step Plan. Maybe he thought he was Dancing. Well, John, I hate to tell you, Don’t Go There. You might trip and Fail Again.

We have a new Democratic Emblem. Our Gang is going Full Circle With The Big D. “KNOW THIS”, (translation of KNOW THIS–I AM NOT PLAYING WITH YOU, OKAY) the Deal is for We The People and Our Nation. When Republicans and the Tea Party ran out of Toilet Tissue, I offered them Wipes. They were hesitant but they figured out what to use them for. It took awhile but that’s okay. Once they got cleaned off, I sent for John Boehner. I did not curse. I asked John Boehner to get his TUTTI-FRUTTI AW ROOTY BOOTY in here—A WOP-BOP-ALOO-MOP, ALOP BAM BOOM (translation–Drum Role Please). There was a problem in the Gang of Musicians. Pat Boone cleaned up Little Richard’s song and sold more copies than Little Richard. Hmm! I wonder why? This is another Trip Down Black Alley. Melissa Harris-Perry did an excellent job of explaining the RACIAL DIVIDE between Blacks, Whites, and Latinos on Income, Wealth, and Education on the Rachel Maddow Show. I went before the Nation and I expressed there may be many who may not agree with me or my decision. Hell, or even like me for being the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Michelle Bachman, I had nothing to do with you and Sarah Palin not getting into the Intelligent Women’s Club. You need to talk to SMOKELBG about that one. Patti Labelle and Micheal McDonnell would sing it to the tune of I’M ON MY OWN. What did Little Richard tell you, ladies? GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY you cannot have it Your Way. WOOOOO! The Democrats and I roll to the tune of Music, not Musiq. I know how the Republicans and the Tea Party got the issues confused. Musiq Soulchild is the Artist and Songwriter who sings Teach Me. Before the deal goes down I hope the Republican and the Tea Party learn what the FULL CIRCLE BIG D is about to Teach Them. If it hadn’t been for the Ohio Players jamming at the Democrats luncheon, the Whitehouse would be singing Fire. The only reason why we stayed up Day And Night On Two Occasions listening to the DEELE because Babyface, LA Reid, and Kevin Edmond were having problems with their Gang. Our Deal for We The People and Our Nation–We Cannot Go For Broke. Bobby Womack just told Chaka Khan, I Can’t Understand It. Chaka Khan sent an e-mail to Shanice saying I Feel For You. It is hard to go over to the Republican Camp and sing Silent Prayer. Envogue is at the Senate Hearing Committee singing Never Gonna Get It. We The People and Our Nation have been under a lot of stress. Just before the darkest hour dawn will break. A little Laughter can go a long way. We learned who the GIVERS, TAKERS, and the RUMP SHAKERS were. It was not Guy, Blackstreet, or Wrecks-N-Effect. To all my NLDERS music is a good strategy to soothe the Savage Beast. If your choice is Movies, make sure it is a Movie you can Understand and Not Need Your Interpreter. People become annoyed when others talk about the show. Leave your cellphones at home. LAUGHTER reduces one’s STRESS. FRIENDS and RELATIONSHIPS are hard to maintain. Anyone can have trouble with their Gang. Keeping It Real For NLD Skills.

Waiting By The Window

Dear Dad:

You always seem to understand my frustration. Not one time did you holler at me or ridicule me for my clumsiness when you took me out to play football. It never appeared to bother you that I had the worst coordination in the world. When I did not make the play, you never stopped encouraging me. I loved it when you would toss me up in the air and say,”You are my champion.” Even when I violated your space, you would laugh and call me your SPACE INVADER. You would go get the tape measure and you would show me where I should stand to keep from violating other people’s personal space.

When it was time to clean my room, you always gave me a heads up on where I should start first. I loved the saying, “We will build one skill at a TIME.” It was funny how I was sitting in the middle of the floor and you walked into the room and sat beside me. I looked at you and you looked at me and we both started laughing. Dad, I was so glad you didn’t get angry because 2 hours had passed and the room was totaled. You told me I just needed a jumpstart like a battery. The sticky notes helped so much. You only listed 5 items for me to do. Once I had learned those tasks, you would slowly add a new task. I figured I was making progress. I was so excited to see another task added on. It seemed like it took forever but Dad, you waited for me to get it.

I remember when we went to our favorite eating place and you leaned over and told me I had my shirt on backward. The look on your face was priceless when I told you they make shirts that look like they are inside out. I bought the shirt for a strategy so people would think I was keeping up with the trend. Concept formation is hard for me and this was one way of my dealing with putting my clothes on backward. Whenever we would go shopping, we would buy shirts with the decals on the front so I would know if my shirt was on right. The wristband you had made at the jeweler was a good way for helping me determine my right from my left. I love the engraving on it… “This is my right-hand man.”

Dad, you made me feel like I was Paula Dean’s son in the kitchen. You took the initiative to buy me all those gadgets from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I had an apple slicer, Nicer Dicer, Instant Chopper, and One Step Can Opener… any contraption that would keep me from severing my fingers or accidentally slicing my wrist. You would tease me and say, “Son we don’t want people to think you tried to commit SIDEWAYS in the kitchen.” I thought it was hilarious when I almost cut my finger off and you looked over at the pot of spaghetti and then looked at me said, “Want to go to dinner because I’m eating no fingers today.”

We had candles of every scent, fountains, and I couldn’t walk through the house without my feet landing on a different type of rug or carpet. Every time my feet hit the carpet or rug it brought so much ease to my body. At night my room looked like a church cathedral or it felt like a spa with the fountains. I loved the swivel chairs in my room. I had such a hard TIME getting to sleep. When you would bring me the hot chamomile tea it wouldn’t be long before it was lights out for the night.

I love the MAD-O-Meter you placed on my door. Before I would escalate you would walk me over to the MAD-O-Meter and have me point to the color. We would discuss if I wasn’t too angry what happened to cause the problem or the chain of events that led up to my trip to ANGER LAND. If I was too ANGRY, you would bring me the apple cinnamon tea, and say it was BREW TIME. I would sit and BREW because I took everything literally. It really did help me to calm down.

Wow! Dad, you had so many strategies and coping skills for me. I hope I can accommodate you like you accommodated me. We both were unprepared for this. I am so afraid for you. The doctors have talked to me several TIMES about your stroke. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together is so hard for me. Too bad Mom is not here to help me get through this. I didn’t realize that she has been dead for 7 years. Here I am in this place looking through this glass window. You look so helpless and weak. Can you hear me, DAD? I know I am not NURSE BETTY but I will try my best. We can do this DAD. I can’t lose you too.

You even trained people through the years if anything were to happen to you I would have another GRAND GUARDIAN in place. I don’t want another Grand Guardian. I need you, DAD. No matter how long it takes I will be sitting here WAITING BY THE WINDOW for your recovery. Mom is watching over us today. I will ask her and GOD to go in their conference chambers and work something out for me and you to spend a little more TIME together. I LOVE YOU DAD. You have been a good father to me.

It is TIME to move forward on Reasonable Doubt. Just recently the people in our country have become so fascinated with a recent murder trial that took place in Florida. Yes, a significant life was lost but the reaction to the outcome of the trial has become alarming and very astonishing. The anger expressed throughout our country has been very explosive. It has left the stench of becoming INHUMANE on our breath. We have reacted to this trial in a BARBARIC and UNCIVILIZED manner. Regardless of what we personally believe, We CANNOT take matters into our own hands. When we lose objectivity of our HUMANENESS we can no longer hold VIGILANCE to our government and the issues which we have now derailed ourselves from. Once we lose our perspective on judging a HUMAN LIFE we lose our VALIDATION and RECOGNITION for LIFE VALUES.

Let’s have a SMOKELBG REALITY SHOW. What would be the most useful teaching tool to demonstrate to a child/adult with NLD SYNDROME related inappropriate behaviors? You got it, a YOUTUBE MOMENT. Now it is TIME to go behind the scenes. Go to YOUTUBE and see behaviors that are volatile. Look at the ANGRY GRANDPA video reaction to the verdict of this trial. YOUTUBE also have very positive videos that can be used to show very positive behaviors. On a regular note take a look at Bill O’Reilly and his behavior when he was on Inside Edition in the UNSEEN FOOTAGE, and the recent shouting matches between BILL O’Reilly and many others. His behavior is very disturbing. We can watch RUSH LIMBAUGH’s behavior escalate from mild to wild in the time it takes popcorn to get ready in the microwave. We can go to any search engine and find inappropriate behaviors from cursing, telling people to shut up, and Representative Joe Wilson, of South Carolina calling the President of the United States a liar on the Health Care Plan. You can go to AOL Celebrity News, TMZ, People Magazine… even Dr. Drew and see behaviors that are unbelievable. David Prosser, Supreme Court Judge, threw a microphone at a reporter, called Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson a B…, and put a chokehold on Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, of Wisconsin. Yet it is said Supreme Court Judge, David Prosser has a “bit of a temper.” Then there is NANCY GRACE.  WOW! I would like to reserve my comments on Nancy Grace. I want to share and write a story on a life lesson I learned.

Who will take the responsibility for a diagnosis that has never been VALIDATED or given RECOGNITION? Who will come to the aid and DEFENSE OF NLDers? Will they be carted off to jail or locked away in a mental institution? Will they be medicated and given a counterproductive program that will keep them locked away forever?

What happens when people with NLD Syndrome behaviors manifest itself. They are PUNISHED.  Many people are paid for deplorable behavior. The ANGRY GRANDPA makes any type of psychological diagnosis look like the TOOTH FAIRY. BILL O’REILLY’s anger and outbursts make a BEHAVIOR DISORDER actually look like a person is BEHAVING.

You have taken a neurological right hemisphere disorder and basically, cut it off from society. They cannot read body language, read between the lines, identify people facial expression, and have no control over the intonation of their speech (rise and fall of their voice tone).  What you are basically saying you can PUNISH a BLIND PERSON for being BLIND. You are angry at a DEAF PERSON because you don’t feel they are LISTENING. For months I have written on NLD SYNDROME. I want every ATTORNEY in the NATION to turn their attention to my blog.

Can you imagine asking a person with NLD SYNDROME on trial, if they picture or imagine what happened at the scene of the crime? They have no imagination. If you put a person with NLD SYNDROME behind a glass mirror and ask them to identify a person in a lineup, what do you think is going to happen when they cannot determine similarities or difference in the person’s facial features. Ask someone with NLD SYNDROME, how far were they standing from the body when they cannot judge the distance. When NLD SYNDROME becomes explosive, ask them if they are related to BILL O’REILLY. Ask people who are diagnosed with NLD SYNDROME can they put themselves in another person’s place, when a true characteristic of NLD SYNDROME is ANOSOGNOSIA – the virtual inability to reflect on the nature and seriousness of one’s own problems which prevents them from recognizing differences between themselves and their peers. There was a lot of body language and inappropriate facial expressions that took place in that courtroom.

People diagnosed with NLD SYNDROME are very literal (BLACK and WHITE)… no GRAY AREA.  WHO DOES THIS RESEMBLE?  NLDers lack social appropriateness. NLDers will have an outburst of laughter at a funeral. JOSE BAEZ became the INTERPRETER of EMOTIONS AND BODY LANGUAGE. He SPELLED IT OUT.  JEFF ASHTON SMIRKED, TAMPERED with his NOSE, and LAUGHED. It was over. JEFF ASHTON lost his HUMANENESS and started resembling a person with NLD SYNDROME.  People with NLD SYNDROME are HUMANE, needs to be taught the appropriate skills. They are not EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED and HAVE UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS. They are constantly PUNISHED for what they are BORN WITH. PROSECUTOR JEFF ASHTON INTENTIONALLY tried to ROCK THE CRADLE of JOSE BAEZ who remained a HUMAN BEING to the end.  It is the NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES. NLD SYNDROME and those who are diagnosed with this disorder miss out on a lot of information. They display inappropriate body language.

How many people have been locked away in mental institutions, imprisoned, killed, or committed suicide because this diagnosis has been overlooked, not tested for, not VALIDATED or RECOGNIZED? This is NLD SYNDROME TODAY – NOT 41 years ago. As Luther Vandross would sing STARTING HERE, STARTING NOW–DO IT FOR THE ONES YOU LOVE. Fighting On The Assessment__NLD Final Frontier

Scene:   Smokelbg has left the office of Dr. Phil and is on her way to see Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Drew. Earlier in the day she had an appointment with Dr. OZ who referred her to Dr. Phil. It is very significant to show the New Wave Doctors what will happen to NLD Syndrome if it is not given the support of a community and the opportunities to become successful in today’s society. Smokelbg wants to enlist the help of the most innovative doctors to RECOGNIZE the importance of consistent testing of NLD Syndrome. NLD Syndrome may be more common. She wants the New Wave Doctors to understand how unilateral decisions have discriminated against and found a way to avoid giving support to children/adults with extraordinary minds, unique abilities, and multi-level learning styles whom our society has labeled disabled. Smokelbg can’t believe how a school for young pregnant mothers in the mainstream has also been affected just recently by unilateral decisions. It is time for Smokelbg to  FIGHT LIKE HELL on the assessment. This story will explain to the New Wave Doctors – the medical, psychological, social/emotional effect it places on NLD Syndrome, other exceptionalities, and the mainstream. It will compare/contrast NLD Syndrome to the mainstream RECOGNIZABLE and UNRECOGNIZABLE.

Receptionist:

All the release of information forms has been properly completed. Your information has arrived and Dr. Chopra and Dr. Drew will be seeing you in about 10 minutes. We will get the notes from this session back to Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil as soon as possible. We need you to fill out and update some information on your insurance form.  Underneath the insurance forms, we have placed our release of information forms to be filled out. Anywhere you see an X please fill out the area and make sure it is dated and signed.  You will be seated in the RED  ROOM and the doctors with be with you momentarily.

Wow! Is this one of the clones from the movie Stepford Wives? She sure has her speech down. Maybe it’s me and this RED ROOM I’m sitting in. Colors do affect a person’s mood. It could be me connecting the dots of Dr. Phil’s room number 666 and the color red.

Receptionist:

Okay, Smoke 1 lb or Smokel Bug the doctors are waiting for you.

Smokelbg:

Hold Up, it is pronounced as SMOKE L.B.G. This has happened to me many times before. I understand when there is a problem with reading words, the spacing of letters, or even seeing the word for the first time it can be pronounced wrong. People with Dyslexia and NLD Syndrome have problems in this area.

Receptionist:

I am neither one.  It was just an error on my part.

Smokelbg:

Do you mispronounce words?  Do you run the lettering of the words together? Have you ever been tested on word reading or pseudoword decoding (ability to pronounce nonsense words)?

Receptionist:

Hey, I made a mistake. I do not make mistakes very often. Dr. Chopra and Dr. Drew will see you now.

Smokelbg:

I think it is time to turn her desk away from the RED ROOM. Maybe a cooler view of just looking at a picture of the ocean waves would loosen her rigid behavior (thinking to herself). Dr. Chopra and Dr. Drew, thank you, both for letting me have this opportunity to visit with you today.

Dr. Chopra:

Thank you for coming. We received your packages of information and I appreciate the books. This is short notice and I have not had the time to brief myself on all information, but this is very fascinating.

Dr. Drew:

Smoklbg, the books are much appreciated and I haven’t had the opportunity to review all of the information on NLD Syndrome. I am not familiar with Nonverbal Learning Disability. You have a lot of concerns. How can we help you?

Smokelbg:

I consider you both as New Wave Doctors. Dr.Chopra your strong connection to MIND, BODY, SPIRIT, and the relationship with LOVE, HEALTH, HAPPINESS is vastly needed. These components would be very essential in helping people with NLD Syndrome become successful. Dr.Drew your straightforwardness on drugs and alcohol addictions will help many individuals realize the changes in one’s behavior and the harm it causes to the body.  The end results will cost the individual his life or another innocent bystander their life. You both have lost people very close to you. Dr. Chopra, I’m deeply sorry for the lost of your longtime friend of 20 yrs., Michael Jackson.

Dr. Drew, I am deeply sorry for the lost of your most recent patient and friend Jeff Conaway.  The key word today is INTERVENTION. I understand that both of you have been criticized for your methods, techniques, and the sincerity of your positions. I need your help in giving RECOGNITION to NLD Syndrome. You both can help me with the importance of showing the world how people diagnosed with NLD syndrome need an inclusive protective environment. They need to be surrounded by those who are committed, educated about NLD Syndrome, and willing to make accommodations for NLD’s unique learning style. Strategies and developing coping skills for the manifestation of their behavior needs to be put in place. DEDICATION without MEDICATION and INTERVENTION can be very productive for NLD Syndrome. SOCIAL SKILLS and LIFE SKILLS  would be the primary teaching of their program. These are very key elements for inclusion in the community and society. I want the American Psychiatric Association (APA) to feel the heat from the grill. They need to be held accountable for not incorporating a syndrome that can interact with other disorders but is left out of a diagnostic manual. The APA did not RECOGNIZE  the damage it has caused by not enlisting NLD Syndrome for as funding, insurance, and school placement. A psychiatric community that has contradicted themselves. They have 38,000 psychiatrists under their umbrella. This is a large COMMUNITY. NLD Syndrome has no supports, no umbrella, no COMMUNITY and is left out in the rain. Hell, even Dan Akroyd and John Belushi in the Blues Brothers were a team. Sam had Dave. Gladys Knight had the Pips. Ike Turner had Tina Turner until he messed up.  I want my New Wave Doctors bringing in NLD Syndrome on the note of the Blues Brothers, “Everybody Needs Somebody”.(Everyone in the room puts on their dark shades, fedoras (hats), and starts imitating the Blues Brothers)

Dr. Chopra:

Aaah, singing, and dancing is very good for the body and uplifts the spirit. I get your message Smoke L.B. G. Yes, my secretary warned me that you had a very tricky name.

Dr. Drew:

That felt great! Dr. Chopra, you got a mean step. Work it out. Smokelbg I get your message loud and clear. I tell you what, I enjoyed shaking my bootie in therapy today.

It is TIME to put the pieces of the puzzle together. NLD Syndrome along with many others have a problem getting the whole picture. I’m going to reiterate very important points from some of my stories to show WHAT’S GOING ON.

1.) We meet people who may appear different, but they shouldn’t change themselves to fit our mold or our way of thinking.

2.) Before we judge them, we first need to learn about them.

INTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS:

1.) We judge people and convict them before we ever get the facts.

2.) We are not trying to learn about others. They will be excluded if they don’t click with our way of thinking.

UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS

Hey Those Are Not My Eyeglasses

1.) A person with a right hemisphere disorder only has use of one side of the brain making it uni-modal. The creative side has damages which cause problems in the 4Rs (reading, riting, rithmetic, and relationships). NLD Syndrome central nervous system is out of whack causing them to have a severe coordination problem. They are at risk for depression, anxiety, stress, and panic attacks. NLDers appear to be annoying, very loud, awkward, and it is very difficult for them to express themselves appropriately. It is hard for them to initiate a conversation but once they get going, the conversation is on. The conversation is relevant to them. The conversation may not be relevant to you. In the mainstream, there are lots of people who intentionally want everything to be about them. People with NLD Syndrome have no clue. We need to TEACH them to understand how to share, take a turn, not to view everyone is just like them, emotions of themselves and understanding emotions of others.  It is very important for NLDers to learn and understand what happens when they act out impulsively and the consequences of their actions.

2.) Their view is very distorted and it causes faulty perception. They miss a lot of information, cannot read people, read between the line, and do not interact with their environment. NLDers want to interact with their environment but don’t know how to interact. They can be taught.

3.) People with NLD Syndrome are NOT EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED and their BEHAVIORS are UNINTENTIONAL.

4.)  Give them an explanation and SPELL IT OUT.

INTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS:

1.) Unilateral Decisions are made. The people who make these decisions have a one-sided view.  It is by their OWN CHOICE not to be connected to his/her environment. They do not desire to interact with other cultures or understand cultural diversity.

2.) Their views are distorted and their one’s size fits all decision-making process is very disturbing. They will go through back doors and do whatever is necessary to get the results they want. They have a Duncan MacLeod Highlander  Effect. “THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE.”

3.)Those who make unilateral decisions are bound and determined to keep out programs that are effective and have shown positive results. People who make unilateral decision strategies are saying, YOU ARE A BUDGET CUT.

EXAMPLE: Rick Snider, the Governor of Michigan, made a decision that was quite disturbing against Catherine Ferguson Academy. He sent a strong message to WOMEN AROUND THE  WORLD. Rick Snider’s decision stripped African-American Women of their right to be educated in an environment which gives them the opportunity to succeed regardless of their plight of being single mothers and continuing their education. Why would you want to cancel a school with a high success rate? Rick Snider and his financial manager Dave Thomas’ message rang out to African-American Women and the African-American Communities, “YOU ARE BLACK AND BACK IN THE KITCHEN BAREFOOT AND PREGNANT”. “YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO MOVE AHEAD.”  Wow! Big time DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN across the nation. This message reaches out to all diverse cultures and has been pointed out in the story, Got No Time To Be Disabled (located in the March 2011 archives), and the Look Of Love Valentine’s Day (located in the February 2011 archives).

The closing of the school has been OVERTURNED but the scent and the taste linger on. You can reverse the decision but the hurt and pain will last a lifetime, especially for those of us who have lived this already and to see it happen all over again. So you see Dr. Chopra and Dr. Drew, CHOICES  are very key elements when Unilateral Decisions are being made.  The biggest picture involved RACE, DISCRIMINATION, EDUCATION, WOMEN, FUNDING, ACHIEVEMENTS, GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION and much more concerning Catherine Ferguson Academy. I mention in my tweets that RACE is a key element but it does not ride alone. The following factors are integrated into the unilateral decision of the closing of Catherine Ferguson Academy.  WE KNOW THE DEAL. WE KNOW THE DRILL. There are a lot of CHOICES of CARDS to PLAY from. We don’t always have to play the same card. The CONSERVATIVES and the REPUBLICANS hand REALLY ROCK THE CRADLE on the above issues.

We now have a clearer picture of how these men feel about Cultural Diversity. We are back to the Highlander Effect, “THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE”. So if you deny certain under-privilege cultures the opportunity to succeed, you are denying them their right to SURVIVE.  The NO CHOICE people will LOSE.

Whatever we assumed about the Conservative and the Republican Party we no longer have to Assume. One thing about NLDers you will never have to assume how they feel about you. They will always tell you, Truth By No-Fault.

They hope people with NLD Syndrome will one day learn to paraphrase their statements, sugarcoat, or lie. Would you rather be lied to? Do you what to know the truth? Can you handle the truth?  Is this one of the reasons why people are so annoyed with those who have NLD Syndrome?  Do you have this characteristic or trait of NLD Syndrome that turns people off?

Dr. Chopra and Dr. Drew, do you mind if we take a short recess? I need to have a roundtable discussion with Tavis Smiley, Dr. Cornell West, Rachel Maddow, Rev. Al Sharpton, Wolf Blitzer, and MSNBC. I  need to contact the President of the United States, The Onion, Ed Schultz, Michael Eric Dyson, NPR, and Prince.

Dr. Chopra:

Go ahead Smokelbg. Why Prince? I do not understand.

Smokelbg:

Prince has the EYES that will reveal it all, just like  Dr. Phil has those talking EYEBROWS which tells the story of his approval or disapproval. It is the nonverbal communication that will tell the story of each of the key player chosen above. NLDers would be lost in this meeting because they will not be able to decipher the body language nor read between the lines.

Dr. Drew:

I would love to be at that conference. Do you think we could get Prince to sing and dance at the roundtable meeting?  It would be one hell of an icebreaker to get things started. That’s my song by the Black-Eye Peas, Let’s Get It Started In Here.

There is a chart you can refer to online that shows NLD interacting DIRECTLY with other disorders such as ASPERGER SYNDROME, OCD, AND TIC DISORDER. There are outside factors of learning disabilities that affect NLD Syndrome such as AUTISM DISORDER, PDD LIKE DISORDERS, ANXIETY DISORDERS. Go to NLDONLINE.CA.

I want my chosen team to PLEASE READ-DSM5 TO EXCLUDE ASPERGER, PDD-NOS, AND NLD IN 2013, WAIT… WHAT. This article is written by LIFE DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (LDI). This article points out that particular issues for  African Americans families are typically later referred for being diagnosed at a much later age than their Caucasian counterparts. The story GOT NO TIME TO BE DISABLED points out how race is played out in an underprivileged area. Information was provided to demonstrate how other cultures can be discriminated against.

UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS

We Need An Interpreter

1.)  NLDers can’t interpret body language, abstract language, and are unable to communicate socially. It causes a massive amount of confusion within the person which in return causes them to act out UNINTENTIONALLY and their behavior to manifest. They need a verbal explanation.

2.) Grand Guardians-trusted adults who give verbal and concrete explanations to NLDers to help interpret the world around them. They mentor, develop strategies, coping skills, provide accommodations to help people with NLD Syndrome to work around their deficits. Grand Guardians help advocate the needs of NLDers in order for those with NLD Syndrome to one day be able to advocate for themselves.

3.) Take the fluff out of NLDers program and make their life-like The Reader’s Digest Books_Condensed.

4.) Give them factual information and documentation. Only teach BENEFICIAL SKILLS.

INTERPRETERS FOR EXTRAORDINARY MINDS, UNIQUE ABILITIES, AND MULTI-LEVEL LEARNING STYLES

1.) Grand Guardians, mentors, psychiatrists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, attorneys, advocates, family and friends who are knowledgeable and trustworthy.

INTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS:

1.) People who are very familiar with their friend/associates behaviors INTENTIONALLY create havoc to make them act out. They set people up for failure.

2.) They will make negative comments to always break the self-esteem down of their peers. It is the negative nucleus I factor of you need me, I don’t need you. I am better than you. I made you who you are. I have more money than you. I YI YI! Fighting the Fight by Proxy. Don’t let them wine you up. Don’t let people light your fuse.

3.) As far as friendships and relationships, they choose to unfriend you at the drop of a dime and manipulate behaviors of others. Let them fight their own fight and don’t let them pull you into their fight. What you need to understand there are many people who appear very likable but these are the Rump-Shakers who will get other people involved to do all the dirty work and never have a blemish on their record. Who are the real Scum Bags?

INTERPRETERS FOR THE MAINSTREAM, RECOGNIZABLE AND UNRECOGNIZABLE(Good and Bad)

3.) Dominique Strauss-Kahn IMF-manager of the International Monetary Fund (sex scandals, harassment, and the NO NO THOUGHTS) BAD BABY! Totally out of control. Ruined a magnificent career. This dude has really poor judgment. He is not a TRUSTED ADULT

4.) Silvio Berlusconi-Prime Minister of Italy (sex scandals, and corruptions) BAD BABY! Trusted Adult-No. You would not trust your child with a person like this or MITT ROMNEY’S dead dog! No!

5.) Clarence Thomas-Supreme Court Justice-Conservative who will not flinch when it comes to judging the consequences of others. (He has to learn and understand the whole picture) UNINTENTIONAL VS INTENTIONAL A Supreme Court Justice bent on closing the gap so one can think the INTENTIONAL Behaviors are now the New Norm.

NLD Syndrome is the FLIP SIDE OF THE CHART.  Choices and opportunities are not provided to them in order to have support from a community.   People with NLD Syndrome without the necessary support will end up being institutionalized, imprisoned, or dead.  I am quite sure this is not the choices they would make for themselves.

Companies support one another. They either merge together, interconnect or buy each other out to keep themselves from failing. Banks and the Auto Industry do it all the times.

3.) Huffington Post and AOL

4.) MSNBC and Comcast

5.) AT&T and T-mobile

6.) Sprint and Nextel

7.) Best Buy and Radio Shack

8.) Sears and Kmart

This list can go on and on. Oprah, Stedman Graham, and Gayle King have supported each other for many years. Hell, even Oprah’s dogs support her on the cover of  O Magazine. We have companies that are Watchdogs.

2.) Consumer Report is the Watch Dog for the Consumer.

Come on people! Where are the dogs that will watch out for NLD Syndrome? Snoop Dogg watches out for his Doggs. NLD Syndrome ends up in the Dog’s House. Why would you vanish Asperger Syndrome to lump these other syndromes all together?  Why would the American Psychiatric Association avoid putting NLD Syndrome on their list?  What is the American Psychiatric Association’s real agenda? Does the APA have a problem with cultural diversity? Go back and read Got No Time To Be Disabled. Is the American Psychiatric Association going through the back door to discriminate against those who are underprivileged? Is this one of the ways the American Psychiatric Association can institutionalize and imprison a diverse culture of people by denying them the opportunity of educational accommodation, job accommodation, funding, insurance, and support from a community.  Will the APA decision for the DSM-5  resemble the Catherine Ferguson Academy decision? Now pay close attention. If you have a disorder that is RECOGNIZED by the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION with UNINTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS how will  NLD Syndrome/other exceptionalities and behaviors be judged against the mainstream behaviors?  There have been numerous outbreaks of behaviors by government officials, RECOGNIZABLE AND UNRECOGNIZABLE.

Why would the APA want to close the gap and make it appear that all BEHAVIORS ARE INTENTIONAL?  Who is the AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION really trying to get rid of?  Who are they trying to set up for failure?  Can we trust the APA? Do we assume they work in the best interest of the people?  WE KNOW THE  DRILL.

WE KNOW THE DEAL.  We no longer need to assume anymore about the APA  and who they are connected to.  The key words are UNINTENTIONAL VS INTENTIONAL. Close the gap and everyone will be judged on INTENTIONAL BEHAVIORS by conservative judges that may not Flinch. Go to my blog and read the stories and tell me what you think.
